Branding is one of the most important aspects of any business, large or small, retail or B2B. But what is branding? Simply put branding encompasses all aspects of your business. For a customer, it is your promise to them. It tells them what to expect out of your products and services, and it differentiates your offering from your competitors.

Your brand is derived from who you are, who you want to be, and who people perceive you to be.

To establish your brand, you have to answer the questions below:

  • What are your company’s missions
  • What are the benefits and features of your products and services?
  • What do your customers and prospects already think of your company?
  • What qualities do you want them to learn to associate with your company?

Searching what is your brand for the customer takes a lot of time and effort. You have to learn the needs, habits, and desires of your current and prospective customers.

Once you have known what brands your company would like to have and be, underneath is the creative way to do so:

1. Create Logo

Creating your logo is not a boring task. It is one of the most important aspects of getting your brand to the market. Use colors that associate best with your company. There are entire psychology books that wrote about the association between the color of your logo and the perception or brand that the customer carries in regards to your logo.

Next is to utilize your logo in all of the components of your page, your products and so forth.

Ensure that the typography is also in accordance with your company’s identity. Typography is very important because clean, understandable typography can help you gain brand coverage, unlike other brands.

To create the new logo that you wanted, you can hire someone professional to do so, or if you want to take control of your own logo, there are a lot of online websites and applications that will be able to help you create the logo that you always wanted.

2. Unique Business Card

After creating a unique logo, the next step you can do is to create a unique business card. With a unique business card, people might remember you better because of the unique design of your business card.

You can send your business card to your customers who have purchased your items, making every purchase a personal interaction with your clients. This can increase your chance of having a return customer for customizing and personalizing the interaction or transaction with your customer.

3 Create branded content

Sign up and affiliate your website with youtube, instagram, and any social media. You can upload content through social media channels. By doing this, you can gain two things: you can increase your interaction and brand awareness media in social media. As of the moment, there are currently 3.5 billion social media users as of the moment. The good part is, the potential of social media is still being ventured as it has just represented 46% of the total world’s population.

The more interaction with the  customers that you have, the more chance people are going to recommend your productt.

Another alternative to is that  you can decide whether humor would work with your brand. However, you have to tread carefully with this strategy as to not all brand identity is appropriate to this tactic or not. The humoristic content has to also be thought and planned carefully so that it won't offend your audience.

4 Partnership with another brand

Co-branding can be an especially effective strategy to introduce a brand to an entirely new segment of consumers while creating a unique and possibly even new trustworthy experience.

This has been done by a lot to the travel industry, where you create an experience for each guest who decided to purchase your services.

However, there are a lot of other ways for companies that are selling retail products to use this strategy. One of which is to collaborate with a public figure to help them produce a new brand line of product that has his or her help in designing.

5. Create a creative event

Get back to what you have planned your brand to be, and create a creative event that your brand can relate to. Events like this can cause innate excitement and spark curiosity towards your brand. Not to mention that it brings your brand and integrate it into the real world.

Do something out of the box. Interact with your potential customers as much as possible.

6. Exclusivity

There are many brands that leveraged on exclusivity. This strategy, however, can be counterintuitive at first. The first moment of making a brand is that you would want to have as much exposure as it is possible. However, there are many global brands that use this at first to create a sense of mystery that can generate more excitement and talk about your brand.

This is a good strategy to get people to talk about your brand. You can also use this strategy in another simple way. If you are planning to create another new line that caters to this, you can also create a buzz before the product actually launched. In this way, when it does launch, you will have more than enough exposure to your new products.

7. Your brand's story

A brand story in which you answer an essential question from the customers. “What makes you, unique?”. A lot of brands utilize their brand story to gain more exposure and establish a connection with the customers themselves.

You can use your brand story not only on your website but when you are delivering your product to the customer. Make a pamphlet, use it in a subsidiary free product that you are sending. A lot of brands gain an advantage by using this strategy to a new market segment.
